Bei CETA handelt es sich um ein Abkommen \u201eneuen Typs\u201c, das anders als bisherige Handelsvertr\u00e4ge in demokratische Gesetzgebungsprozesse eingreifen und damit Handlungsspielr\u00e4ume f\u00fcr die gew\u00e4hlten demokratischen Parlamente einschr\u00e4nken wird. Mit dem Freihandelsabkommen sollen die Interessen der gro\u00dfen transnationalen Konzerne weiter gest\u00e4rkt werden. Soziale Gerechtigkeit, Klima- und Verbraucher_innenschutz sowie die Interessen der Arbeitnehmer_innen bleiben bei diesem Abkommen auf der Strecke. Wie die NaturFreunde lehnt deshalb unter anderem auch der Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund das Freihandelsabkommen ab.
